Most settle for this one as their night attires because it is so comfortable to wear. But there are things you need to know if you opt to buy one of this robes these days.

One of the most distinguishing factors of robes is length. And of these lengths, there are three standard length you find most common.

  • First is knee length. This type is the most commonly used by most people. Why? It’s because the length is just right for most folks’ preference. Not too short and not too long. Just enough to cover enough skin and still offer the comfort you’re looking for.
  • Second is the longest of the types. These type hangs just above your ankles and basically has more coverage over your legs. Though common, this might not be your choice if you want more comfort. Covers much skin and definitely uncomfortable to wear during hot weather conditions. Well at least this may help you out during winter.
  • Next is the one that has its end hanging around two to three inches above your knee. This type has more appeal to the eyes. This is more sensuous of the three. It shows more skin and very comfy to feel with just the right length. This is preferred by more ladies and will look good even if you’re a plus size

Next important factor on robes is the sleeves. This factor will also affect your comfort thus be mindful when choosing the right one for you.

  • The ¾ sleeves. This type is much preferred by most folks as it does not cover much of your arms thus comfortable enough. It also offers more coverage as compared with shirt alone. The nice thing about this type is the fact it doesn’t interfere with your arms thus you can move freely.
  • The full sleeves. Yes this type is long sleeved robes. It covers up to your wrists. The upside of this if you want to cover your arms during cold days and very helpful at this. This keep will you warm on cold days.
  • Short sleeves. These types has sleeves just the length of an ordinary shirt. This type is best when you need more comfort. Your arms can freely move without having to think about sleeves getting dirty or wet while doing some chores.

There are still other criteria in choosing robes but these two are the key areas you should be mindful of. Further, as robes where intended to be comfortable, then we should settle with the ones that really offers comfort. You don’t have to opt for something for the sake of simply having something to wear or being fashionable. Always take into consideration personal choices. And although other people’s opinion can you help you out on your decision, never forget about your own criterion. It will help you out your choice and will definitely save you time whining on wrong choices.
